I got natural monks cloth from Joann fabric and dyed it with Rit dye. It took 4-5 times of dying it before I got a color I liked. I tried the washing machine method first, but had to do the bucket method to let it soak long enough to get a good color. I think if I had started with the bucket method, it would have been much smoother.
I'm 5'0" and about 200lbs. I needed 4.5 yards of fabric to make the robe, hood, and boots. I had to sew in sleeves, so if I had been thinner it would not have taken so much fabric because I wouldn't have needed to cut out extra sleeve pieces. I hope that helps!

Congrats on your decision and best of luck with your build! Great to see another Jawa in the works. I think Jawas are a lot like TK's, you can never have too many of them. They look great, help set the mood and are very versatile and fun to have around. Good choice!
