My costume is gone now, a victim of the fire, but I still have the boots which were sealed in a plastic tub. They are leather riding boots, of excellent quality, and only worn maybe 8 times all together. Trouble is, they are size 12, which may not work for most people. They've also been customized to be screen accurate, in that the tops have been leveled off straight. I have $180 in them, which included the customization.
I haven't necessarily decided to sell them, but I'm considering it. My other option would be to make another officer costume, but I lack the skill (and money) in which to do so. I guess my question would be, would anyone be interested in them?
If someone can help me make a regular old black trooper officer costume I would be willing to trade for something. Or I could maybe come up with some cash. The Grand Admiral costume hadn't fit properly since I lost all the weight, and it was impossible to keep that thing clean. If I do another one it will be plain old black. Maybe I can be a Captain or something.
My wife said that she would be willing to make a black officer uniform for you at no cost whatsoever. If you'd like one done, let me know and I'll get your measurements.

Later,
That would be a really good deal, but I feel uncomfortable in not paying or contributing. Maybe I could buy the material or something?

Nic, just bear in mind that there are two kinds of dirt. The dark kind that sticks to light clothes, and the light kind that sticks to dark clothes.
We will fight on the beaches, we will fight on the landing grounds, we will fight in the streets and in the fields. We will never surrender. Winston Churchill

Nah.... Don't worry about it. We have hundreds of yards of fabric in this house. I've joked with my wife for years that we could easily open up a fabric store with her stash. Let's just consider this one small way for us to lend a helping hand to a fellow member who's down on his luck.
