I have officially started my second costume! I want to troop in something that is unique, fun with kids, and is contrasting to Vader. Clone Wars Animated ARC Trooper: I still haven't decided which character to do yet. I like the paint scheme of Commander Colt and the new ARC Trooper Fives, but may go with my own version, too! I hope to have this done before the end of May, although it would be great if I could have it done before the Make-A-Wish fundraiser. I'll keep you all up to date!

Officially started this build today. All parts are trimmed, and I will finish sanding tomorrow. I may even begin gluing this weekend!

I will do a test fit tonight or tomorrow to get the form correct for each piece. Just picked up some CA glue and accelerator from the Hobby Store so I can get the forms put together before bondo-ing the seams. Then I'll have some pictures showing the progress...

Ok, I did a test fit, and taped the parts together. Overall, the core pieces are a great fit, but the lower legs and forearms need some serious adjustments to fit and look accurate. Here's a photo:

Spent time over the past couple of weeks gluing the armor pieces together. Thanks to my family for letting me borrow their garage. The pieces are all crammed on a table until we can find more space... Also began work on the helmet. Here I marked the lens area for cutting. After using an old Dremel with a new cutting wheel and a small file kit, I was able to cut out the areas I needed. Next step is to fill all the seams in the armor with bondo and do a final sanding before priming! Right now I'm leaning on finishing it as the yellow ARC trooper 'Blitz' from the Clone Wars season 3 episodes Clone Cadets & Arc Troopers:

Brady that is awesome, where did you get the kit from?

The first pass of bondo went well. Chest/Biceps Upper Legs and Forearms Lower legs-standard and ARC versions Cod Pieces, ammo boxes After sanding by hand and with a palm sander, I've seen where a second pass is needed. Will be doing that this weekend.
