Well, The only Terminator I enjoyed was the 2nd one. But now I have high hopes for the new film! Staring Christian Bale comes the 4th installment in the Terminator Series.

WHOA ! ! ! I love Bale but the question I have ......does it have anything to with the T.V. Show or any connection to the story line?

Saw this preview with The Dark Knight last night. It looked pretty cool.

I find your lack of faith disturbing

Duct Tape...the Force it is like. Both a light side and a dark side it has. Binds the universe together it does!

From what I've seen, the TV show is completely omitting the 3rd and 4th movies.

Too many things wouldn't add up. For example, (Don't look if you don't watch the show!!), Dr. Soberman getting thrown into a mental institution.

The biggest problem you have with any show that deals with time travel is continuity. Of course since you are changing the future, usually a line or two of dialog is what they use explain where things currently sit. Whatever the storyline, this looks to be an awesome flick!

"Sand people always travel single file to hide their numbers" It's not to hide our numbers, it's so we can follow the guy in front of us! If he trips, we have time to stop.

When I saw the Teaser tralier about 2 months ago and heard the first line "this isn't the future my mother warned me about..." I literally jumped out of my seat and screamed "terminator!" before they even showed anything but a dark screen. I'll be there opening night.

Unfortunately, it's being directed by the no-talent McG.

McG is the American Uwe Bol.

As cool as this movie can possibly be, I'll have to pass based on the choice of director. I know that sounds harsh, but have you seen Charlie's Angels? Case in point: Termi-cycles. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll find out, then you'll wish you'd saved that $8.50.

It'll be a Redbox rental for me.

I agree. The only person worse than McG is .... Michael Bay. I love the idea of a new Terminator movie ... but why they chose McG is beyond me.

if we're talking trash on crappy directors may i submit JJ Abrahms as well?

*edit #1* so i posted before i actually watched the trailer, and now that i've watched it does it seem that for a sequel to a james cameron franchise they ripped a lot off of another cameron film? that trailer felt like Aliens. only not good.

Okay, here's a question for all of you who love the films. Established in the very first movie, "nothing dead" can go through. No future weapons, no cloth, only living tissue. Thus, humans and the T-800, T-850 (in T3), along with Cameron and the T-888 series in the Sarah Connor Chronicles, could come through no problem.

But how did the T-1000 and T-X manage? They're made completely of metal, even though it is highly advanced. I don't think it could replicate the living tissue.

Any thoughts from the fans?

According to Wikipedia:

"the T-1000's major innovation is its "mimetic poly-alloy" construction -- an intelligent liquid metal. This gives the T-1000 the ability to change its appearance and emulate virtually anything. It is capable of perfectly copying the shape, color, and texture of anything that it touches that is of similar size or volume."

I guess we have to assume that the mimetic poly-alloy must be a metal that can assume the texture, shape, color of human flesh. It can literally mimic skin, and therefore travel through time.

Trailer 3 is out now. You can find it at http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/terminatorsalvation/ or on http://www.youtube.com

The Nine Inch Nails music is a nice touch...

NIN makes everything a notch cooler.

:)

That trailer was actually pretty good. It's the first one that's actually made me want to see this. I still say it's too bad it was directed by McG. If it wasn't for that, I might actually be excited about it.

I really enjoyed this movie! There were a few things that bugged me, but not enough to be a distraction. Best part - not rated 'R'.

I loved it. I'm not a huge Terminator fan, but I thought it was great.

Personally I thought the termi-bikes were sweet. Caught me off guard too as I had only seen the trailer once.
