Here's a catchy new Hanukkah tune by the Maccabeats. The group's name is a clever play on name of the Jewish hero, Judah Maccabee, who led the Maccabean revolt against the Greeks(Seleucid Empire). When the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem was liberated in 165 B.C. and reconsecrated, Judah Maccabee and his brothers established the 8-day celebration of Hanukkah or "Festival of Lights." This song "Candlelight" by the Maccabeats tells of some of those events and of Hanukkah traditions like the Dreidel(spinning top) game.
The song is based on Mike Tompkins' a cappella version of Taio Cruz's "Dynamite."
