.... the Japanese fleet opened the door for the United States of America to enter World War II.

There aren't very many folks left who personally remember the attack, if you’re lucky enough to know one, give them an extra pat on the back. If you are honored to know one who fought in WWII give them a hug and thank them for us all.

God bless the US Armed Forces all over the world, especially at this time of year let us send a few extra prayers, good thoughts, positive energy what have you, to the American fighting men and women and their families.

I am so thankful that there continue to be men and women in this country who are willing to set aside their own lives and comforts to take an oath to protect and defend the rest of us. Whether soldier, sailor, Airman, Marine or Coastie, whether cop or firefighter, I thank God for your sense of honor and duty, for your courage, for your love of country. May God keep you and see you home safely.

A date which will live in infamy, may we never forget.

Cyril Boothe (grandpa) served in Sicily and North Africa and kept our fighting boys flying. He fixed the B-17's and learned a work ethic he retained the rest of his life. God Speed.

The only person I knew who served in WWII died just last month.

By way of thanking him personally...
Rest In Peace Glenn Jones.

My heart swells with gratitude to all the armed forces, present and past. My love for you knows no bound. Thank you.

RIP Benjamin Walter Allington (grandpa) WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam. I miss you. I love you.

Thanks for always reminding us of this, Jared. It's important for us to remember those who have gone before us. God bless our armed forces. :)
