Falcon since we all know you have alot of knowledge when it comes to this area do you have any recommendations for some of us or a good place to get a good cigar prior to the next night out so some of us can come more prepared :)

If you are only going to buy a stick or two.. You can go local.. Beehive cigars is the only place in the entire state with a decent walk-in humidor.. it's not stocked with a lot of premium brands, but it's respectable.. the drawback to that is that when you buy local, you are paying an 86% Utah surtax designed to discourage the purchase of premium cigars..

My preferred method is to order online.. You have an infinitely better selection and the prices are always better, you just need a good 5 to 7 days lead time.. but you can seldom order less than 5 sticks..

What we can do is treat it like a patch or coin run.. we decide what the group collectively wants and make an order for a mazo or two of stogies, depending on how many people are interested.. We can place it all in one order and have better purchasing power..

We just have to decide what we want.. the online vendors won't have Cubans, but will have a great selection from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.. My palate tends to gravitate towards mild or medium-bodied puros, and there's a lot of the infused stuff I gave Jill and Matt.. Variations go from there.. If you all want.. we can start an interest thread about purchasing a sampler and see.. This being a pretty virginal cigar crowd.. I am sure I can find some good deals on milder stuff as it appears as well..

let's discuss it.. I'll also reach out to local factory reps if the group grows to a bigger size.. If you are interested in learning more about the gentlemanly pursuit of cigars, message me and I can add you to a closed cigar group I have on Facebook..

I hope

I'm fine with all of us going in on some together, I've always preferred a full flavored cigar but I know not everyone would prefer that. I know cigars, like wine, have a point based system for flavor and other determining factors so as long as we kept it in the 90 point plus range I'm sure we could find something for everyone.
I do want to get back into the culture and have been looking at items to start back up so thank you for the information regarding a local vendor.

Hope more people speak up as well so we can get a decent count of how many we should get and work out the costs.

I would definitely be more than happy to contribute to a group run of cigars. I loved the cigar you gifted me Falcon and I was sad I didn't have more for the night!

If we were to make a group of this and swag was created... would anyone be interested in patches, coins, etc?
