I just joined yesterday, after a long debate of whether I could do what you all do. That all changed after I met four awesome members of the 501st in Reno a couple months ago, at a balloon race. I'm excited as hell to be part of the Alpine Garrison, and hope I do you all proud. I'm retired US Army, and home going through surgery after surgery till everything is fixed from past deployments. In that time I run a small 3D printed prop shop for Cosplayers. My two favorite things to make are rifles and lightsabers. Anyway, I've rambled on enough...can't wait to meet you guys at events!

Welcome, and to echo Mikko, we would love to have you come out as a spotter for the movie release. Things will get CRAZY (I'm almost regretting signing up for a theater in a COLLEGE TOWN!!!), but it'll be fun. Our spotters are AMAZING and it will help give you an idea for what kind of build you're wanting to do. BTW, what are you wanting to build?

Thanks! My first thought is to do Boba Fett, but after talking to another member, that might be a tad bit more than I can chew off until I get more experience with this. I found a blaster that someone did for the First Order Stormtroopers (haven't got all the acronyms down yet lol), and since I have a good 3D printer, I might give it a go.

Logan or Provo? I can imagine it'll be nuts. Who do I talk to about being a spotter?

At the top, it should say Join or something by Events and Members, select that, it should also ask what event you'll be attending and that should put you to that event. If that does not work, just look at the Events, pick a theater and day and make a post here and people will be looking out for you.

Lightsabers ey? We might have to talk about making me one for my Nihilus build...

Thank you I hope to be at one the first of next week. I was going to try to make it to one tomorrow, Friday or Saturday, but I'm booked crazy solid with orders for props...then my SW tickets are for Saturday.
