Hi Everyone,
My name is Jason and I'm excited to become a member of the 501st! I've been a fan of Star Wars since I saw ROTJ in the theaters as a little kid (Jabba scared me to death and I hid under the seat...still do!) and I love the idea of mixing my love of Star Wars with charity.
I'm friends/coworkers with Hutch, Bacon, and Woopidee Do. I've been hearing a lot about how much fun the Alpine Garrison is and about all of the good things you do. I'm excited to join your group and take part in some awesome Star Wars themed charitable work.
Right now I'm working on saving some cash to build/buy a Storm Trooper costume. I'm hoping to get one that is from Ep7 but I figure it might take some time to get going on it until we can see what the full costume looks like. I also hope it won't break the bank!
Anyway, I hope to meet more of you soon.

Welcome Jason! I started to work on my costume approximately 1 year ago, sometimes it can take some time. But over the last year I have had so many awesome experiences as a Cadet, I wouldnt trade it. Glad to have ya aboard!

So I found a good deal from Trooper Gear and decided to buy a classic Storm Trooper costume instead of waiting for the new design. So the armor pieces are on their way in the mail and now it looks like I need to start working on putting it together and getting a few remaining items like the boots, neck seal, etc. Any help or suggestions on assembly will be appreciated. I'm getting pretty excited!

I'm getting pretty excited! Awesome! I just got my armor from Trooper Gear last monday. As mentioned armor parties are great for getting assistance with assembly. Usually we have armor parties more often once the weather is warm. I'm sure Hutch and Bacon can keep you informed on when the next armor party will be taking place. For boots I would look here http://www.tkboots.com/ Neck seal you might be able to get one sewn from one of the garrison members here. I know there are a few who are skilled in sewing...just not sure if any of them currently make TK neck seals.

Tkboots.com may have some in your size, but if not they may take a while to make more.
I'm always down for an armor party! Learn me some techniques for when my own box gets in!

I've purchased about everything I think I need. The only major item I'm still missing is the neck seal. Bring on the armor party!
