I need to know if this costume of starkiller's is a 501st covered costume (can't find it here) or if it is rebel legion (can't find it there) it isn't mando mercs (doesn't fit the standards, no helmet, gloves etc..)

SO would this not be approved? would i be able to use it in both groups since starkiller is fence sitter? what do you guys think? Who would know?

I'd say this costume is probably a Rebel Legion costume, as it is only available after Galen Marek is betrayed by Vader. Most of Starkiller's TFU costumes are Rebel. The Rebel Legion Standards don't have that particular costume listed, and I don't think anyone has done it before.

Usually a costume takes 3 different references to get approved. This costume is from all game versions of Force Unleashed, but I see it has an action figure, and is also in the TFU comic. So there should be no problem getting it approved.

I've done a lot of research on the TFU costumes, but not this one. I'll see if I can get you some better pics. I'm welcome to do it here, but it may be worth your while to make a thread on the Rebel Legion boards about this. I can see that someone else was researching this costume at one time and has some pics:

I've downloaded some hi-res videos of the Cloud City level and cutscenes, and got a bunch of screenshots. You can find them at my Photobucket album here:

I would say that's Rebel Legion also, it's during the time he's working to develop the rebellion.

Well, as a technicality, even when developing the Rebellion, Galen was STILL serving Vader until the events on Corellia, so in a technical call, only the Jedi Adventure and Ceremonial robes are by story definition worn when he was truly opposing the Empire, after Vader outright said "you were always just a tool."

As a practical matter...yeah, any outfit after the battle with Shaak Ti on Felucia(sp?) is considered RL material, with Sith Warrior and Sith Stalker being the exceptions.
