I'd like to build this uniform. Here is what I'm thinking. Nothing has been purchased yet

Deluxe Imperial Officer Uniform
Cosplaysky

Rank bars
Tiggwolf They have a reputation for being slow but good quality. Is that right?

Code Cylinders (2 of them)
PhiloProps

Riding boots
Sovietboots.com (or ebay if I can find some that will work)

Belt and hat
Will use the ones fshfood has for her Bridge Crew

Any suggestions, comments, feedback? I will spend the extra for the custom made from Cosplaysky.

Thanks

The only thing I can add is make sure you get the right type of Code Cylinder from PhiloProps. There's a silver clip, and a brass clip. I think Silver is Type A and Type B is brass. it's been a while, could be wrong.

Thank you. I will make sure. They do have both type A and Type B available.

Before you buy ANYTHING.
Get registered with the IOC.

once there ask these questions, the CRLs for officers has changed a bit in recent years so get it from the horses mouth.

I did that a week ago and have been reading through the great information there. All of the vendors I mentioned are ones that are recommended there. It looks like a great resource. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated

You'll want Type A brass clip code cylinders for an original trilogy staff officer.

You are off to a great start. Your list looks good and from the right people. Tiggwolfe does make good quality items but they are slow. Let me know if you have any questions. My Staff officer is almost identical to yours.

Thank you. I'm trying to do my research.

For the rank bar, I'm thinking a Lieutenant so 1 bar with 4 blue push buttons

I have a question. I have an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor that both have to be on me at all times. They are both about the size of a pager and normally I keep them in my jeans pocket.

This uniform does not have any pockets. Can I have a pocket sewn inside the tunic, or maybe wear bike shorts with pockets underneath so I can keep them with me?

Any ideas are appreciated

I have taken the plunge.
Purchased the deluxe uniform from cosplaysky customized
Purchased a rank bar with 4 blue push buttons from Tiggwolf
Purchased two dosimeters from PhiloProps

Have to figure out the boots and how to get my medical devices into the costume.

You shouldn't have any problems with your medical equipment. I carry my cellphone and other items on my pants belt under the tunic without any issue.

The captain boots on amazon I believe are no good because of the seam that runs up the front. You might have luck with the russian boots website. They are good if you wear a men's 10 or smaller, maybe size 11.

Out of all the costume parts, the boots are the biggest headache.

Hat is Wampa wear medium size
Belt and buckle are wampa wear
Pants and tunic are Cos Play Sky premium and I sent them my measurements
    Boots are from Soviet Boots.com

On order are two code cylinders from Philo Props
On order from Tigg Wolf is a rank bar. It is a LT from ANH 4 blue push buttons in a single row

David Your costume looks good, but I would make a few recommendations based on what I can see from the photos...

    - The costume looks like it could be tailored a little to fit you better. I know we had to do this with my wife Jamie and her line officer. We just took it in to a local place at the Layton mall, but that place has closed recently, so sadly I do not know where to send you for this...

    - The pants will need to flare out a bit more like you would see on horse jockeys. From what I can see in the photo, they kind of just sag down. I believe my wife used some sort of iron-in stiffener to make them more like wings.

    - Your pants can have pockets, but must be covered by the tunic

    - I am not sure about the boots...I do not believe these will work as the soviet boots are not a smooth non-textured boot. They would work for a bridge crew or a pilot/reserve pilot, but not an officer. I May be wrong on this, so I will ask around the detachment

    - The best piece of advice I can offer is to look at the CRL. It is what we will use for our reference for approval, and is basically a "Cheat sheet" for everything you will need to meet prior to submission.

Thanks for your reply. I will get the tunic and pants tailored and the flares stiffened up.

For the boots I had posted on IOC about them. This is the thread.
    http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9033-boots-question/

The boots I purchased are the bottom of the three links. I know boots are sometmies difficult.
