looks like a pretty good deal. Better than the fans I have been using!

I will have to compare this to the Environmental Amplification System I have looking at off and on again for the past year and make a decision this week. Its going to start getting warm here soon, and I will need my fans!

I will also post up what I will be getting. If people want to join in for a group order to save a few bucks, I'd be willing to do that as well!

I've been researching fans for helmets, and about making them myself...

I already have 10 fans on order and the rest of the parts (similar to what he is using) I was planning on getting soon as well.

Edit:

They do not look difficult to make, same with the external mic setup as well.
This will be something i will be doing come summertime and hope they work out well. If so I might be able to hook up local members for cheaper... at least that is the plan :)

It will be summer though, CFO did not approve advanced project funding

Apparently, A Gamorrean isnt allowed on those forums.

"Sand people always travel single file to hide their numbers" It's not to hide our numbers, it's so we can follow the guy in front of us! If he trips, we have time to stop.

It's 2016, you think by now people would be able to get past their prejudices... the empire still has a way to go I guess

Now that I am approved I'll post this here.

Fans and external audio amplification setups are pretty simple to do.

I know setups are being sold on the forums that cost $$$.

I have completed 2 fan systems and an EAS that work perfectly. I have no electronics training other than what I have learned online, in books and taught myself.

The EAS UKswrath sells for $60, my setup is basically identical to his and cost me under $20 for parts and about 2+ hours of work.

If anyone in the garrison needs assistance with these kind of systems, let me know and I'll be more than happy to walk you thru making one yourself or assisting if needed. I could even build it for you if you would like.

I don't feel we should pay for a system when we can help each other make systems that work and save money.

Yeah, the EAS looks to be vellemann's stereo ear booster.

The kit itself comes in at under $20, but I think it's a fair price he charges for the labor, assembly, mods and finishing.

Their voice changer kit was very straight-forward to assemble, I've worked with electronics most of my life but even a beginner could pull off their kits IMHO.

It is.

It's also what I used, the DIY kit on Amazon was under $10, and it was my first time soldering anything.

Just seems to me this stuff is easy enough that we can do it in the garrison for a lower price, while helping our local members out :)
