Jimbojag here is your best helper. He's working on the new FO one as well and is very knowledgeable on TIE in general. Not sure if they have vendors for making all the parts yet.

Dalvarius wrote: Hey all. I've decided I'd like to do the new TIE pilot... I found a couple of good posts for the old version, but it looks like the JRS website has gone down.. Not really sure where to look now, especially since I've decided to switch to the new version. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to start my build this summer. I'll help with whatever you need. Shoot me a pm or give me a call to discuss. 801.602.8717.

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I just tried the JRS forums again and they worked. I was on my phone earlier, maybe that's what the issue was. No idea. Mikko, thanks for the reference I appreciate the help Ryan, let me know if you see any good deals. I hope to start out with the less expensive parts within the next month and hopefully have the money saved up for the bigger ticket items by August/September. Jimbo, I'll hit you up soon.

I've decided to go with A New Hope TIE pilot. Will start buying my gear, piece by piece, by the end of July. My goal is to be done before Rogue One comes out.

I'm considering this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZHQO90E/re ... 3RSJ&psc=1 for a flight suit. It looks pretty legit to me, and I haven't been able to find any better deals on one. Still looking for good deals on gloves, boots, compad, belt, code cylinders and cap. All help is appreciated

If I remember right the cosplay sky suit needs alterations to be accurate (mainly pockets being moved)
Wampa Wear also makes suits, not sure how long the wait is on one of them. They also make the belt and gloves, but again, not sure on delivery times.
If you want the rod style code cylinders I'd recommend Elvistrooper, I have them and they're great. He's also a good place to get the Imperial Discs for the hat, belt, and helmet(when you get to that point).
Compads can be found various places, check the Jolly Roger Squadron forums there's a few that sell them there.
Good luck with boots. I went with Soviet jackboots..but they're not the best.
I'd also check out the Imperial Officer detachment, they can point you towards a good hat.

Scratch that, I'd like to go as Baron Fel ( http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TI_-_181st), lol. Saw a good deal on a 181st flight suit on Wampa Wear and decided I'd go for it. Got gloves and belt, too.
