Made some more progress today. Got the shoulder tabs glued in.

Now here's a big warning: If you have to resize your your armor to be on the larger side when the tabs are glued in it causes the sides to sit funny when not being held down by velcro. I'm not sure what effect this will have in the long term in terms of wear and tear but imagine I'll be replacing velcro and at an accelerated rate.

Another warning, these detail pieces that go over the attachment straps are PVC plastic, not ABS so I forwent the ABS sludge method in favor of good ol' fashioned Cyanoacrylate glue (Super glue)

Here's the other tab after the glue set. (gap between the detail piece and main armorwill be filled in with bondo and smoothed over)

you going to the armor party tomorrow? I'm going to need help with the build, and it looks like you have a pretty good idea of what you are doing with your clone!

Bahh I missed it! I had a wedding I had to go to.

I'm hoping to have a few days free this upcoming week if we want to try for another armor party somewhere.

Made some more progress today and cut the loops for the suspender.
Also not going to show in the pics but I spot filled with some ABS sludge. I noticed some of the bondo already chipped just with some light moving so I opted to scrape it all off and go with ABS sludge, I'll have pictures once I remember to take them.

Belt has been set aside while the extensions I added cure.
But this is the chest, ab, and codpieces all assembled and fitted together.

With Salt Lake Comic Con being this weekend I couldn't get much done, but I got the final spot filling and sanding for all the parts and cleaned up the boot caps.

After a quick bit of research I found the boots that appear in the 501st CRL from Kevin W.'s build.

They appear to be These guys:

But I think using some acetone to get rid of the top coating I can repaint the boots grey using leather paints like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Angelus-Acrylic- ... ther+paint

and just reseal the whole ordeal.

Fine detail work today, mostly just smoothing out rough bumps, and gluing parts in. Got the back details glued in using CA glue and the handy template that Kevin provides.

Forgive the bondo, had to smooth some casting bubbles out.

Not the best test fitting in the world, but got some good bits of information.
obviously a lot is going to change between this and the finished product but I needed to know how much to take off the forearms, and where the thighs needed to sit.

Got some hardware to start mounting things to the belt.

Using some T-nuts like this: http://www.parts-express.com/Data/Defau ... 0_HR_0.jpg

and some 1/4" bolts I attached the holster boxes, and detonator to their respective places.
(Note: the boxes for Wolffe are supposed to be mounted further forward and not on the sides as with other clones)

Using some glue I was able to hold the t-nuts in place and thread the bolts through.
I used mostly 1/2" or 3/4" long bolts just to avoid any excess material poking out in places.

here's the detonator:

NOTE: if you mess up and the boxes are a tad crooked I found it easy to just step up the hole by about 1/8" and then "shim" the bolt with some glue so it holds in the correct place.

Nothing too crazy to report today just using some sludge to cover some seam lines in the chest pieces and trimmed them all down to look good and got the detonator finished up and ready for full paint.

Thanks for posting these, this is awesome! I'm hoping to build an airborne clone, so seeing how clones are getting put together is really cool. Nice work, and good luck on the build!
