I got a great deal on a finished chest box, front/back armor, helmet, belt and buckle! Those items have not yet arrived yet but when they do I will surely post pictures for your viewing pleasure! I have recently purchased pilot gloves from WampaWear, a compad from www.safeways.com and a set of hoses from Targ on the JRS Forum. The last items I will need to complete this are a flightsuit from WW (currently out of stock until March) and set of boots which I will purchase from EpicMilitaria. I am guessing I should have this completed in the next few months which is pretty exciting!

Good looking out Maritza! If they dont take it then could you have your friend send it to you so I can try it on? If it fits I will take it and if not I will pay for the shipping back.

I will ask. He's currently on a cruise, so I imagine it will be a bit before I hear from him.

Christmas came early for me today. I had ordered a few things from different places and they all decided to show up today! I got my gloves from WampaWear, hoses from Targ on the JRS Forums and the rest was from my Ebay Purchase. What do you all think? The ONLY things I need are the Flight suit and boots and I will finally be a 501st member!

Anyone have some extra black plastic pieces laying around? I need to make some of the octagon pieces shown for my shoulder straps.

Last week I received the 3 code cylinders and code discs I ordered from Elvis Trooper. I needed the code discs to replace what was currently on the ear wells of my Tie helmet. Im not sure why the previous owner put them on but the CRL states Code discs only and they were never approved in the past after doing some research. Although he said he got approved with it. Anyways I removed the pointed ones today and found they were just screwed in place. I believe they go to an AT AT Driver somewhere. Still need to attach the new ones. Should I use E6000 or epoxy? Which is better on a fiberglass helmet or does it matter?

So I have been doing some research on my helmet and chestbox as to who the manufacturer is. I asked the guy I bought it from and he said he did not know. He had purchased it froma Garrison member roughly 10 years back. I asked around on the JRS Forums and think I may have found the answer. If you check the link it takes you to the Don Post Helmets and mine resembles the Deluxe Tie Pilot. Both my helmet and chestbox are fiberglass and also have the same hose attatchments. The ear greeblies that were on the helmet are the exact same as well. The only thing missing is the stamp on the rear underside of the helmet stating its a Don Post helmet. So it may or may not be a copy of this particular makers helmet.

By all means use E6000, It holds really well and can be removed, an option which epoxy will not give you.

I got quite a few things done at the armor party in Roy. Myself and Jeff drilled out holes in the helmet and chestbox and attatched the hoses. Jeff cut and painted some octagon should strap pieces for me. The only thing I need now is just the flightsuit from Wampawear whenever they decide to restock them and Ill be ready for membership! Their website says in March they should have them. We will see. We also came to the conclusion that it is a Don Post helmet and chestbox or a very good replica anyways! Cant wait to start trooping!
