This will be my build thread for my first 501st costume. I am building a TIE reserve pilot, and then will upgrade either to another costume or continue to a full TIE pilot afterwards.

So far I have ordered my belt, hat w/code disc, and gloves from wampa wear.
next I am watching for boots, and a flight suit to become available, and am looking for a compad and code cylinders.
Does anyone have advice on where to get the compad and code cylinders?

As for the compad, there is a member on JRS who sells them. Look for his sales thread in the sales forums. As for code cylinders, they aren't required but optional, so you'll have to decided if you really want them.

Small update. I got my parts I ordered from wampa wear a couple days ago. They look and fit great. Yesterday I won am auction for some German boots, I'm just a little worried they are too tall. If so I guess I can use them for something else. Attended my first event this weekend, met new people, and felt completely welcome the entire time. Now I have to wait a couple weeks to do anymore work on my costume because next week I will be in Disneyland. After I get back though I will be ordering the other stuff I need to finish, minus the flight suit, unless they are back in stock by then.

It's been a while, but I have an update. I received my flight suit today. I was a bit nervous because I settled with the cosplaysky one. I do have to say its better than I expected. I'm glad I opted for the custom fit. I gave them all the measurements they asked for, plus some extras just to make sure it fit right. Now I'm just waiting on my compad to get here so I can paint it, and a pair of boots. Hopefully I can get my application submitted in the next few weeks.
