Greetings Everybody,

OK... Now that we've played the trivia game for a few days, I'd like to hear a few suggestions on what can be done to make it better. S'Kylar suggested having the question posted at a random time each day instead of at a fixed one(I.E. 12:30pm)

What do you guys think? Any other ideas?

P.S. I need more user suggested trivia questions. Remember that you get one point for rach question used. ;)

Later,

Mike Handy

While random posting is a nice option...I liked knowing when I had to be online. I work all day and it was easier to plan my breaks at work for when the question would be asked.

Random is good, but it's nice to know when it will happen. I'm dreaming of starships and mouse droids when the trivia challenges are posted.

One point per question answered, eh? I've got tons of questions floating around my noggin. I'll submit a bunch this weekend, Mike! Guess we can play stump the Garrison, now, eh? :lol:

OK... Here's the current point values again...

3 points for a correct answer
1 point for submitting a question (Awarded when asked)

Should we tweak the point values any? Maybe 3 for a correct answer and 2 for submitting?

By the way, I did get several questions in recently. Thanks for the submissions. Keep them coming! 8)

If we get enough questions, perhaps we could have two posts a day, one at a set time and one at a random time. That way we could appeal to both groups. 8)

Greetings Everybody,

OK... In case you haven't noticed yet, I have been randomly activating questions for the Trivia Challenge. This is in addition to the daily question at 12:30pm. I don't currently plan on having more than one random question activated per day.

Have fun,

I just upped the value for submitting a question to TWO POINTS. You still get THREE POINTS for correctly answering a question.

The two points for submission don't get awarded until the question is acutally used, so those of you who have submitted questions that haven't been asked yet, you'll get the two points when your question is actually used.

I am making this retroactive, so those of you who have had their questions used before, I will manually add one point to your score for each question used.

I currently have about 30 questions waiting in the queue. That's enough for around two weeks. Let's keep those questions coming in! 8)

Very good job with the changes, Mike! I'm looking forward to watching my score inch up even further when those extra points for retroactive question submission are added. 8)

Thanks for putting together this forum, along with the multitude of other changes that you have done recently.

OK... The retroactive points for question submissions have been added. Each person who submitted a question that was used before 2/14/2005 received one additional point. They are as follows...

S'Kylar = 5 points
Darth Lairdman = 3 points
ondiv = 2 points
Pod Man = 1 point
Skalen Fehl = 1 point
Knowler Longcloak = 1 point

I have also added your Trivia score to your Avatar/info view on the left. It shows up in green underneath your post total and location. This score *ONLY* shows up when viewing trivia questions in this forum and only if you have scored some points.

I'll be making a leaderboard page sometime soon.

Later,
