I love his StarTrek books. And, actually read "splinter of the mind's eye" but have never read his original novelization of E4

I started to read Splinter of the Minds Eye but it infuriated me so much I couldn't finish it.

I've never read the book, but I enjoyed the comic book adaptation of the book that came out a few years back. :)

Just think how infuriated George Lucas was when Mr. Foster killed off Darth Vader in the first draft of "Splinter of the Minds Eye." Needless to say, the ending was changed.
